The perfect addition to brunch, lunch or dinner. Top with your favorite jam or preserve!


  • 1/2 ounce active yeast
  • 3 1/2 cups warm milk
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 6 tablespoons melted butter
  • 2 tablespoons kosher salt
  • 8 cups flour
  • 2 beaten eggs
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil


  1. Preheat oven to 350°F.
  2. In a large bowl add in the milk and sugar, and microwave it until it reaches 110°.  Once at that temperature, add in the yeast and whisk until it is completely dissolved.
  3. Whisk in 4 tablespoons of melted butter, salt and beaten eggs.  Add the mixture to a stand mixer with the dough hook attachment.
  4. Add in the flour 2 cups at a time until completely combined.  The dough should be elastic and soft, but not sticky.
  5. Add the dough to a bowl and coat it with olive oil.  Let it rest at room temperature in a cool dark place for 1 hour.
  6. After the dough has rested, place it on a floured surface and shape the dough into 30 small balls and place them in a greased baking sheet 1 inch apart.
  7. Brush the tops of the balls with the remaining 2 tablespoons of melted butter and cover and let rest for 30 minutes.
  8. After resting, place in the oven and bake for 16 to 18 minutes or until golden brown on top and cooked in the center.
