Description

A rich, dark-roast coffee rub enhances the mouthwatering beefy flavor of the strip steak.

Ingredients

  • 5 tablespoons ground coffee
  • 1 tablespoon flour
  • salt and black pepper to taste
  • 5 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 8-ounce prime New York strip steaks

Instructions

  1. Combine coffee and flour in a small bowl and dust steak with mixture.
  2. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  3. Heat a 10" sauté pan and add oil.
  4. Add steaks and cook for 3 minutes on each side on high heat.
  5. Top the seared steak with the prepared Guava Herb Sauce.
