  • 1/2 pound butter, unsalted, softened
  • 2 shallots, whole, finely diced
  • 1/4 cup brandy
  • 1 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt


  1. Mix all ingredients in a bowl until well combined.
  2. Remove butter from bowl and spoon it onto parchment paper.
  3. Roll into a log, using edge of baking sheet to form a tight log.
  4. Chill for 2 hours before serving.
